Revenue Audits & Compliance

The primary objective of revenue audits is to ensure compliance with tax and duty obligations. Revenue officers carry out such investigations in accordance with Code of Practice for Revenue Audit (2010).

According to revenue, apart from randomly selected cases, audits are generally based on informed selections from the risk profiling of cases, including computer-assisted profiling as well as local knowledge. Audit cases may also be selected for exanimation of a particular sector or scheme.

We at Collins O’Brien believe a hands on approach to dealing with Revenue queries is essential and in the majority of cases, we will deal with such responses without interfering with the client for assistance. This is to ensure no unwarranted concerns are placed on our clients which can disrupt the running of their day to day business.
